McGaha Consulting, Inc. specializes in industrial site remediation act (ISRA), underground storage tank (UST) sites, real estate environmental due diligence (Phase I and II Investigations), air soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, peer review and professional oversight/expert witness.
We help clients purchase, develop, sell, or alter their operations or property while navigating federal, state or local environmental laws and regulations. We assist clients in dealing with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), New York City and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP).
Our proprietary data management tools, in-depth knowledge of scientific principles, engineering principles, and state and federal regulations are some of the tools we offer to solve your environmental problems. There is typically more than one route to solving your environmental problem. We consider your business needs when routing your project through the regulatory process. We focus on the time and costs of each alternative, consult with you on the risks and the pros and cons of each alternative and guide you through the process of solving your environmental problem in the most cost-efficient way possible. We strive to provide personal service, consistent quality, and unsurpassed value. Our principal goal to be an advocate and provide a service that help others and the environment.
McGaha Consulting has experience implementing site remediation. From simple excavation and disposal through immediate environmental concern (IEC) casers. We design and implement insitu remediation for petroleum and chlorinated solvent contaminants. Bioremediation using Dehalococcoides bacteria for solvents in an anaerobic environment, or a custom blend of bacteria from our proprietary research classifying bacteria based on their interaction and remediation benefit. We have experience implementing bacteria beds or treatment zones as well as capture zones used when hydraulic control of groundwater flow is required. We also install and maintain treatment systems for light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL), commonly referred to as free product.
There was a time when McGaha Consulting provided all services required to investigate, remediate and close environmental cases. Since the start of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program in New Jersey, McGaha Consulting has backed away from the concept to offer more accountability and transparency. Although our in-house LSRP has 38 years of experience, we now work with vetted and highly capable and professional contractors to perform not only analytical testing services, but groundwater sampling, air sampling, excavating, waste disposal, asbestos sampling, and technical review. Although our goal is transparency, some equipment and services are required to keep your costs down. For this reason, we maintain a magnetometer, ground penetrating radar, survey equipment, drilling equipment, and testing meters including photoionization detectors. We also have a few treatment trailers for Soil Vapor Extraction and a pump and treat system for establishing hydraulic control.
McGaha Consulting performs all services within the laws, regulations and guidelines established by regulators. As your consultant we will route your project through the applicable laws, regulations and guidelines along the path that accomplishes the goal of site remediation in the shortest time period and at the lowest cost. That is not always the goal of our competitors. Find out what we can do for you.
